Initiation phase

Implementation and Dissemination

The main thrust during the initiation phase has been to work with work package 6 to develop the internal communication system for the project and the overall framework for internal and external communication. The latter involved:

• Developing a basic framework for characterisation of flood risk based on the EU Flood Directive and other definitions.
• Following consultations with municipal partners develop characterisation methods for the demonstration projects.
• Circulate framework for completion by municipal partners for delivery to WP 2.
• Develop prioritised draft topic list in collaboration with municipal partners and collate to produce prioritised list of requirements for WP2
• Engage with partners in other parallel projects to developed enhanced framework and topic list (including WFD, planning and land management and implementation issues)
• Circulate enhanced framework and topic list to city partners for review and enhancement and to align project activities
